Things to read before fat transplantation
Things to keep in mind before fat transplantation
You must fast for 8 hours before surgery. However, only water (mineral water) can be consumed up to 200 cc up to 4 hours before surgery. Be sure to quit smoking 1 week before surgery and refrain from drinking alcohol for 2-3 days before surgery. From 1 week before surgery, you should not take aspirin, ibuprofen, naproxen, piroxicum, vitamin E, anti-inflammatory drugs, or arthritis medications that can cause bleeding. (However, you can take vitamin C, Tylenol, etc.) In the case of breast implantation, please undergo a breast examination before surgery and visit the hospital on the day of surgery with a reading sheet. Surgery is possible only when there are no abnormalities in the readings.
What to prepare on the day of fat transfer
Driving on the day of surgery is strictly prohibited. Please come to the hospital wearing comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. Please prepare glasses as you will not be able to wear contact lenses on the day of surgery. Be sure to remove all jewelry, including rings and earrings, as they may be lost. On the day of surgery, wear light makeup, do not apply body oil, and be sure to remove manicure and pedicure (including gel nails). If you are menstruating, we recommend using Tempo. For face transplantation, it is a good idea to bring sunglasses, a hat, or a mask. For breast implants, prepare a bra that is one cup larger and loose-fitting clothing. (Sports bra that is not pressed by the wire is recommended)
After fat grafting surgery
After discharge on the day of surgery, take the prescribed medication three times a day after meals. Sleep lying on your back for 1 to 2 months after surgery. Avoid activities or wearing items that may touch or put pressure on the implanted area. When washing your face, gently rub your face with minimal stimulation to your hands. It is recommended to abstain from alcohol for 3 months after surgery to prevent inflammation. You must quit smoking for at least 6 months after surgery, and it is also recommended to avoid secondhand smoke. Sauna, jjimjilbang, and bathing are possible after 3 months. Light exercise is possible after 2 months. Please be careful when chewing food or speaking.
