Hello! This is LipoManiac from 365mc Hospital. Today, we will discuss a popular topic related to liposuction and LAMS, which has been asked frequently by our customers: Do I have to wear a compression garment? How long do I have to wear it? Where can I buy the compression garment? How should I wear the compression garment properly? Let’s go through this important step together!

What is a Compression Garment and Why Is It Important?

A compression garment is a special garment designed to apply gentle pressure to the body after liposuction to help reduce swelling, promote skin retraction, and speed up the healing process. It also helps to prevent the formation of seromas (fluid accumulation) and supports the newly contoured shape of your body.

Do I Need to Wear the Compression Garment After Liposuction? How Long Do I Have to Wear It?

For liposuction surgery, you should wear a compression garment 24 hours a day for at least 1-2 weeks. After this period, you can reduce the wearing time to 12 hours per day for an additional month.

For the LAMS (Laser-Assisted Liposuction) procedure at 365mc, wearing a compression garment after the procedure is not strictly necessary, but you are welcome to wear it if you feel comfortable doing so.

Where Can I Buy the Compression Garment?

You can purchase the compression garment directly from our hospital. We will assist you in measuring your size and provide you with a garment that perfectly fits your body.

How to Wear the Compression Garment Properly?

At 365mc, our nurses will guide you on how to wear the compression garment correctly. You will receive professional instructions to ensure it fits properly and provides the best results.

Be careful when removing the compression garment, as it can sometimes cause dizziness. We highly recommend that you take it off while lying down or sitting, as this can help prevent accidents caused by dizziness.
